Shooting with Izabella Rae Jaxx
SAAAAAAFE. So I shot with the stunning Izabella on Tuesday and got to shoot a bit of location work. Don't get me wrong I love shooting studio but you have to enjoy the challenge of finding or creating beautiful light on location.
The image above was shot with my beautiful canon 16 - 35 F2.8l. and although is a expensive lens I have seen a 17 - 40 F4 for £350 which would bring comparable images!
I tested the shot to start with my 540exii flashgun on a tripod camera left, and although it made for a dramatic shot there was such stunning light available I went with this light in the end.
Needless to say Bella knows what she is doing with modelling and hardly needing any directing at all which is a nice change of pace. With now being able to drive we visited two awesome locations and chewed though the outfits we had.

I did however use my flashgun in the Black and White image above to help make the model pop out against the windmill. I also would normally shoot straight but felt like the slight tilt was needed while in the moment and just love the drama braught about it being in mono.
Below is a linked gallery to the set on flickr. If you want to check out Izabella's work then head over to her Facebook here and show some love :) <3
Hope you enjoy the images PEACE
